The Story
It is what it is. A dinner, but not an ordinary dinner, as we never go for the ordinary.
An experience of childhood flavours and mid-century designs, glimpses of past and present.
A team of creators that never lost their curiosity of seeking hidden spaces with tales to tell, while finding passionate men of saucepans, that is what we are.
A select group of experience seekers, feeding their minds & spirits, not their bellies, with memories, not with food. Even though food is a component of our gathering, it should not be the main reason for booking a ticket. As you’re not paying for dinner, but for the appurtenance to a club of memories collectors.

AN INTERVIEW WITH THE CHEF
1. Your culinary approach:
Bringing culture into the taste.
2. The taste of your childhood:
I had the chance to experience my childhood in times when our mothers were calling us up to lunch from the window, while we were playing outside. The taste of my early age is the one of the cauldron (ceaun) cooked chicken, served with plenty of garlic “mujdei”.
3. Assuming you were invited to create the menu for the festive dinner of the Nobel Prize Gala, what main course would you propose?
Poached ravioli, stuffed with rabbit & truffles parfait, carrot gel and saffron flavoured butter sauce.
4. What is the story of the menu created for the WeDine dinner-event?
I created the WeDine menu while thinking of the 70’s in Romania. I gathered a lot of stories about that “era”, from people of different status, and they all have a thing in common: the shared table. Even the most “prosaic” food, like a sardine tin, could become a blessed feast when shared. Eating together around a table of friends or family members was a good occasion to forget about the worries of the everyday life. The names of the dishes speak for themselves, giving little imaginative hints about what is to happen, gastronomically.
